Hanford - "What Do We Really Know"

"HANFORD: Highly radioactive: 1,000 gallons of nuclear
waste leak in Washington every year."

"1,000 gallons of Radioactive “Sludge” may be leaking a year
from Hanford."

"US Nuclear dump is leaking toxic waste."

Recently, you may be hearing concern from your community members about leaking radioactive waste from Hanford.  Here at CRESA, we have received no specific emergency alerts about this situation.  The Department of Ecology is the principal agency that is involved with sharing information about this topic.  Feel free to refer community members to their website.   http://www.ecy.wa.gov/

We were informed today that there is a meeting being held tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Clark County PUD Meeting Room for a presentation by the Columbia Riverkeeper and the Sierra Club called “Beyond a Nuclear Northwest” on assessing the risks of nuclear reactors in light of Japan’s experience in 2011.
