DAY 26: Run, Forrest, Run

Today's task doesn't fall in the "traditional set" of preparedness tasks that we educate, train and evaluate too often; however, Amanda Ripley's book, The Unthinkable, comments very specifically on the connection between personal resilience and physical fitness.

Her statistics easily show that people who are more active and physically fit have a much more likely chance of surviving a catastrophe.

DAY 26 ACTIVITY:  Today, you will earn a point for choosing to do a physical fitness activity.  So, take a walk, ride your bike, choose to take the stairs rather than the elevator.  Do something to benefit your health.

Answers may be submitted on all tasks anytime between now and midnight on 9/30/10.

Today I walked around a new park on south lake union, the space needle, sat in front of the science center fountain while it sprayed water to music, walked to a friends house in dntn Seattle and then walked home post a dinner of fresh vegetables. It was a beautiful day for a walk. I even saw Batman! He was walking out of a comic connection. Ok, ok, I even got a picture with him.
