DAY 15: Drop, Cover and Hold

One of the key encouragements in Amanda Ripley's Unthinkable book is to practice, practice, practice.  The building of reactive muscle memory is so important to training your body to respond well during crisis.

DAY 15 ACTIVITY:  Act as if you are experiencing a strong earthquake and drop, cover and hold today under a desk or table that is close to you.

PROOF:  You will earn one point today for telling us that you completed this drill.  You will earn one extra point for submitting a picture of yourself during your drill.  Another extra point (for a total of 3 points today) will be awarded to those who can convince SOMEONE ELSE to practice getting under their desk or table.

Ok, I did this and I actually convinced my husband to do it too! This exercise is very similar to one the schools had us do fifty years ago.
