Here's an update on our last article about the pending winter storm:
- There is greater certainty we will have accumulations of snow, sleet, and freezing rain in our area.
- The snow should begin sometime between 10 PM and 2 AM tonight. The heaviest snowfall will come tomorrow afternoon when a band of precipitation is expected to stall in the north Willamette Valley.
- The Weather Service is predicting 2-4 inches of snow. There is still uncertainty over specific amounts. Some areas may have more.
- Later Saturday evening the snow will transition to freezing rain. Expect ¼-½ inch accumulation.
