Report of Possible Tornado UPDATED

UPDATE:
Just after 4 pm on Thursday March 21, 2013 a wind event caused extensive damage to a barn near Hockinson.  Witnesses describe it as a twister.  It hit the building from a westerly direction, picking up pieces of the roof and spreading it over a 10 acre area to the east.  The building partially collapsed after the event.

Fire District 3 responded to assist the salvage of building contents.  There were no injuries, and no other property damage reported.

The National Weather Service sent a team to investigate and confirmed it was a tornado classifying it as an  EF-0 meaning sustained winds of 65-85 mph.
