Fire Danger Continues

The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Red Flag Warning For Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum Counties in Washington  starting at midnight  10/03/2012 until 6 pm on 10/04/2012  due to a warning for Wind and Low Relative Humidity.

Windy Conditions with gusts that will increase later tonight and into Wednesday morning. They will remain moderately strong through Thursday morning.  This in combination of Relative Humidity around 15% create for ideal type weather which can cause extremely favorable conditions for new fire growth, and for rapid fire spread.

The lack of moisture over the past couple months has created conditions that are much more prone to fire activity.   As a reminder, please remember that the burn ban has been extended in Clark County until conditions improve.

For more information please check the map provided by the National Weather Service.
