CRESA's New 9-1-1 Operations Manager

CRESA is pleased to announce that Katy Myers has been selected to fill the 9-1-1 Operations Division Manager position.

As a seventeen year veteran with CRESA, and with her most recent position as CRESA's Training / Quality Assurance Manager, Katy has hands on experience in every area of public safety communications, training, project development and quality assurance. Katy has great leadership qualities, outstanding technical skills and abilities, and a great attitude which will help lead CRESA into the future.

Katy is the daughter of a Fire Captain and was led to the career accidentally by her dad who informed her of an opening at the 'alarm center' so she applied.  She began work as an emergency 9-1-1 dispatcher at Southern Oregon Regional Communications when she was only 19 years old.

When her family relocated to Clark County, Washington, she took at position at CRESA.  Katy began working with the CRESA Training program in 2000 and has been involved in the development of a first-class training program for our CRESA employees.

Katy is certified as a Communication Training Officer Instructor & Public Safety Telecommunicator Instructor through the Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APCO) and the National Academies of Emergency Medical Dispatch (NAEMD) Quality Assurance and has been an Assessment Manager for CRESA's Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) Accreditation.

Katy also has 2 kids and a dog!  Katy is a wonderful addition to the CRESA Management Team and we look forward to seeing her leadership in action as CRESA continues to be a model public safety agency within Clark County.

By the way, if you are interested in applying for our open Training & Quality Assurance Manager position, it's open now and applications may be found at http://www.cresa911.org/employment/
