Air Stagnation Advisory and Stage 2 Burn Ban Issued

Today the National Weather Service issued an Air Stagnation Advisory for Vancouver, Battle Ground, Camas and Washougal until 4 p.m. Friday. This advisory is issued when limited movement of an air mass is exptected to allow polution levels to increase and persist for at least 72 hours. As a caution, anyone with sensitivity to air polution should take the necessary precautions to stay healthy.

In a related news release, the SW Clean Air Agency issued a Stage 2 Burn Ban for all of Clark County through the work week. This means the use of all fireplaces, wood stoves, etc. (including certified) is illegal unless this is your primary source of heat. For more information, see their website here: www.swcleanair.org.
