Volunteers Are Appreciated

Last night was the third annual Clark County Citizen Corps Volunteer Appreciation. Over 150 folks gathered at the Lupeke Center to honor volunteers from Community Emergency Response Teams, Medical Reserve Corps, Volunteers in Police Service, Amateur Radio Emergency Services, CRESA Emergency Operations Center, Volunteer Mobilization Center and American Red Cross volunteers.

Highlights for this event included a presentation by C. Tannert Pinney, M.D., of Project Helping Hands. Dr. Pinney gave an inspiring presentation with slides of his recent medical mission to earthquake ravaged Haiti.

For those that could not attend, please catch the CVTV video of this presentation. For more information regarding how to become involved with one of these volunteer opportunities please email us.
