Shake, Rattle & Roll....or Drop, Cover & Hold On!

Today, April 21st, is the day that the State of Washington would like to remind everyone to "Drop, Cover, and Hold" for earthquake preparedness.  Between 9:45 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., state agencies throughout the State of Washington will practice individual responses when they hear that the walls around them are shaking.

Our partners in Clackamas County unveiled a new website this week which is called "Shakedown".  It has an excellent locally made video on how to "Drop, Cover and Hold" in many different situations.  Plus, there are links so that you can "Take the Quake" Quiz or play "Beat the Quake".

CRESA has also released our quarterly newsletter with information about our upcoming Vancouver Planning Commission First Tuesday event on May 4th.  RSVP today for this excellent session on earthquakes so that you can measure the risk and mitigate the impacts that you may face someday soon.
