At approximately 5:20 this morning, CRESA was effected by a power outage in Vancouver due to what looks like a squirrel that ended up in some High Voltage Power Lines.
CRESA's priority systems are backed up with an uninterrupted power supply so no emergent services including 911 were not impacted. All calls continued to be accepted and dispatched during this outage.
The power outage has had some temporary effects on some services outside of CRESA. These systems are in the process of be restored.
Due to this, some accessory systems at CRESA which are normally automated are being being handled by manually.
We expect full restoration of all systems shortly.
