Extreme Fire Danger on Wednesday and Thursday This Week

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for most of Clark, Cowlitz, and Skamania counties. It is in effect from 8 PM Wednesday to 5 PM Thursday.  A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected.

Very dry east winds will mix with parched vegetation and warm temperatures to create a perfect mix for wildfires.  The most affected areas will be the North Oregon and and South Washington Cascades and foothills, the North Oregon Coast Range, the Willapa Hills, and Clark County lowlands.

Do your part to prevent forest fires and be on the lookout.  If a wildfire does erupt please follow travel restrictions and official evacuation instructions.
