Veteran's Day Observance

In Observance of Veterans Day, CRESA business offices will be closed on Monday November 12th. For  many this holiday marks a long weekend, however we want to take a few moments and reflect on the relevance of this honorary day.  Sunday marks the 86th official observance of Veteran's Day.  This day to honor those who have served our Country, was originally called Armistice Day started in 1919 after the First World War as a day of "Reflection" to be "filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service"

Here in Clark County, the City of Vancouver will mark Veterans Day with the 26th Annual Veterans Parade at Fort Vancouver on Saturday November 10th that runs from 11 AM to 4 PM.  Activities in an Air Force Fly-over, 21 gun salute fired by Howitzer cannons, Military bands, and much more.  Additional information is attached here at Veterans Parade at Fort Vancouver.

During this weekend, we encourage everyone to  remember and  take at least a few moments to reflect on those who have, and are serving to allow us to celebrate freely. Without their sacrifice's and that of their families, many of the simple things we take for granted would surely be lost.  We would also like to thank those serving today, who work around the clock sometimes far from home in keeping us safe.

Here at CRESA we understand this.  We also thank our Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, and Dispatcher's as they also work this Holiday Weekend for most! Thank You!!
